Privacy Policy

Who we are

Plus EV Bagholder is operated as a U.S.-based business publishing financial education content and subscription software. For privacy questions, contact us at the email listed at the bottom of this page. This policy does not cover third-party websites you reach through outbound links (for example Tiingo, TradingView, or social platforms).

Information we collect

Depending on how you use the service, we may collect:

• Account data — email address, Clerk user ID, and profile information you provide when you sign up or sign in.
• Billing data — subscription status, Stripe customer and subscription IDs, and payment-related metadata. Full card numbers are processed by Stripe; we do not store them on our servers.
• Workspace data — watchlists, portfolio tickers you add, DCF assumptions, thesis notes, saved screener filters, and alert preferences you save in the terminal.
• Discord linkage — Discord user ID and access status when you connect Discord or receive an invite.
• Communications — emails we send (alerts, invites, billing-related messages) and optional cancellation survey responses.
• Referral data — affiliate or creator referral codes (for example ?ref= on subscribe links) stored with your subscription metadata when applicable.
• Technical data — IP address, browser type, device information, and pages viewed, collected through our host and analytics providers.
• Local browser storage — before or without sign-in, some preferences may be stored in your browser only until you log in and sync.

How we use information

We use collected information to:

• Authenticate you and provide access to paid features.
• Process payments, renewals, cancellations, and affiliate revenue share.
• Sync your research workspace across devices when you are signed in.
• Send watchlist alerts, screener alerts, and Discord invite emails you opt into.
• Operate Discord subscriber access and support.
• Improve reliability, prevent abuse, and understand aggregate usage.
• Comply with legal, tax, and payment-network obligations.

Third-party service providers

We use trusted vendors to run the service. They process data on our behalf under their own terms and privacy policies:

• Clerk — authentication and user accounts (https://clerk.com/privacy)
• Stripe — payments, billing portal, and tax (https://stripe.com/privacy)
• Vercel — hosting and web analytics (https://vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy)
• Upstash — encrypted workspace sync storage (https://upstash.com/trust/privacy.pdf)
• Resend — transactional email delivery (https://resend.com/legal/privacy-policy)
• Tiingo — market data API (we send ticker symbols to fetch quotes; Tiingo does not receive your account email from us for routine lookups)
• Discord — community access when you connect (https://discord.com/privacy)

Email alerts and marketing

Watchlist and screener alert emails are sent only when you enable them in your alert preferences. Discord invite and billing-related emails are sent as part of the service you purchase. We do not sell your email address. You can turn off optional alert categories in the terminal or cancel your subscription to stop membership-related billing emails.

Cookies and similar technologies

We and our providers use cookies and similar technologies for sign-in sessions (Clerk), payment flows (Stripe), and aggregate site analytics (Vercel Analytics). You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may limit sign-in or checkout.

Data retention

We keep account and billing records as long as your subscription is active and for a reasonable period afterward for support, disputes, tax, and legal compliance. Workspace data in our sync store is tied to your user account. If you cancel, access ends at the end of your paid period; we may retain minimal billing records as required by law or Stripe.

Your choices

You can update alert preferences in the terminal, manage payment methods and cancel subscriptions from your Account page or Stripe billing portal, and sign out at any time. To request deletion of your account or synced workspace data, email us at the contact below. Some records (for example completed payment history) may be retained where required for accounting or fraud prevention.

Children

The service is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use industry-standard practices through our providers (HTTPS, authenticated APIs, server-side secrets). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; use a strong password and protect your Clerk login.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the revised policy.
